They’re almost here! Parent-Teacher
conferences can be tricky, because there’s so little time and much to share
with parents. But they don’t have to be nerve-wracking. This month I’m linking
up with Angie (Lucky Little Learners) and Ashley (Schroeder Shenanigans in 2nd) to share some of my best tips.
Greet parents as soon as they enter! Make sure to get up to give
them a handshake and smile. This will help set a positive tone for the meeting.
Once it's time to have a seat, sit alongside parents, rather than across from them.

I used to record my notes on index cards, but moved to more detailed notes. You can click {HERE} to get a copy of this for yourself.
Record any and all notes that require a plan of action or follow-up. You want parents to know that you care and that you're on the ball. Then, make sure to touch base with them once you've addressed the concern or problem. I usually print this page on bright colored paper and post it next to my desk, so I don't forget (because I forget EVERYTHING). #forgetful
I'm sharing ALL of my parent-teacher conference goodies with you for free! Yeup! Enjoy and good luck! I hope your conferences go smoothly. Click {HERE} to get all of the pages.
Do you have any of your own tips or goodies to share? Link up below!
Thank you for the parent conference notes template! I always write on stickies and then don't remember 1/2 of them :)
