A UNIQUE WOOD WATCH BY JORD

Have you caught on to the wood grain trend?  My husband and I fell in love with the wood grain watches after a trip to Hawaii.  Of course, they were super expensive on the island so I was thrilled when I came across Jord’s wood watches.  I purchased the Fieldcrest (Dark Sandalwood) as a gift for him last year and he was over the moon.  

Now, I've got a Jord watch of my own.  I chose Jord's Frankie 35 model because of the mint colored face.  Mint has definitely been one of my favorite colors for a while now, so it was hard to resist.  Also, I have a small wrist and I thought the size of this watch face would be great for me (I was right!)  Jord has a handy comparison guide on their site that allows you to compare sizes of all of their watches.

I love that this watch has an earthy feel to it, but is still fashionable at the same time. And although the watch might appear to be heavy, it’s extremely lightweight and perfect for all-day wear.  It is actually the least heavy watch I own.

Also, you don’t have to be worried about it falling off.  It’s got a deployment buckle with double push buttons. Super fancy!

Back to School Crown FREEBIE

Are you all set to head back to school? Did you print any crowns (or hats as we call them) for your kiddos? I started back today and my students will be in class on Thursday! I'm all about celebrating the first day and getting my students excited about first grade. So, I couldn't resist making some cute crowns! I made these for kindergarteners, firsties, and second graders. I plan on having my kiddos color them in and stapling before they head home that first day. My niece was excited to color and model this crown, even though she's going into 3rd grade.

I've also included some first graders (and second graders) CAN, HAVE, ARE slips to add to the hats if you have time for a little writing activity. These can be glued to the sentence strip. What do you think?!

Floating Down to First GIVEAWAY

Happy Friday friends! Yeup! I'm still alive. So, I announced a while back that I was moving to first grade, and boy howdy it's already been very interesting. We've only been in school for 7 days and I feel like I've been run over by a truck! I've got some wild little first graders and I feel like I'm in another world here. I don't think I've ever seen so many crying faces. I'm constantly reminding myself that these are pretty much kindergartners and it's going to get better. It is, right?? Right??
